These pages are the contract. Marketing copy does not amend them. Where law forbids a waiver, that waiver is narrowed to the minimum the law allows — the rest still applies.
1. No professional advice
Nothing on the website, in the inbox, in AI drafts, or in support chat is legal, security, compliance, or engineering advice. You must have your own counsel and security review before relying on any output.
2. AI and automation
Summaries and replies may be generated by models. They can be wrong, incomplete, biased, or insecure. You must review every draft before filing a ticket or acting on a suggestion. We are not liable for decisions you make from model output.
3. Capture is best effort
- Probes can miss errors, drop events, or mis-classify taxonomy.
- Network partitions, browser blockers, and your own rate limits can prevent delivery.
- We do not guarantee real-time delivery or inbox completeness.
4. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AETHELLAYER AND ITS SUPPLIERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IN ANY PERIOD IS CAPPED AT THE FEES YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR FIFTY US DOLLARS IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
5. Third-party services
GitHub, Linear, PostHog, Mixpanel, Supabase, OpenAI-compatible providers, and other integrations are third parties. Their outages, terms, and data practices are outside our control. Linking or connecting does not create a partnership or endorsement.
6. Forward-looking statements
Roadmap items, “preparing for SOC 2,” and feature previews are intentions, not commitments. We may change or cancel them without liability.
