Our story
Born from the Monday morning scramble
Every scaling company hits the same wall: brilliant people hired to build product and serve customers, spending half their week copying context between Greenhouse, Xero, Slack, and spreadsheets.
AethelLayer started when we asked a simple question: what if finance, hiring, compliance, and executive intelligence shared one context engine, and agents could act on it with the guardrails a board expects?
We are not building another dashboard. We are building the executive layer: autonomous operations with citations, approval gates, and tenant isolation wired in from day one.
The idea
How the idea took shape
Across fast-growing companies, the CEO and COO often became the integration layer. Hiring updates lived in one tool, burn in another, compliance in a third, and every executive meeting started with someone rebuilding the story by hand.

Gunjeet Bawa founded AethelLayer after repeatedly watching strong teams lose entire days to operational glue work. He saw founders and Chiefs of Staff become the router between ATS, finance, compliance, and Slack, even as headcount and tool spend kept rising.
His background spans building and shipping products in high growth environments where execution speed matters and board level trust is non negotiable. He started AethelLayer to give operators the same leverage engineering already had: systems that remember context, automate the repetitive work, and leave humans in control of decisions that matter.
